Course content
Development of transport policy in the Czech Republic and development of European transport policy. Basic objectives and tools of transport policy. Competitive environment in transport, harmonizing of transport policy of the Czech Republic and EU. Trans-European transport network, financing of traffic infrastructure. Transport and environment, safety and reliability in transport, transport services quality increase. Social policy in transport. Technical policy, research and development in transport. Charging different transport modes. Competition in transport. Statistics and computer science in transport, international cooperation in transport.

Learning outcomes
To apprise attendant with development of the transport policy in the Czech Republic and EU, with its contents and exercitation in relation to the integration CR to the European structures.
The student will know current development of conception of the transport policy, current Czech and European transport policy and factors which influence its development. He will know priorities and specific goals of the transport policy, basic strategic documents which will concure on current transport policy. He will also know relationship between economic and transport policy.
Prerequisites
It's expected the knowledge of economic, legislative and informative tools of the country and European integrative processes.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

The student must prove during the term and also by the exam, that he/she observes and understands current transport-political problems, relationship between European and Czech transport policy and movement of future development trends. The tutor will notify the concrete requirements to the students within the first week of the term.
