Characteristics of electronic communication.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim is to inform students about basic terms in transport and communications, provide basic knowledge about particular kinds of transport, telecommunication and postal sector.
After passing the subject the student has complex knowledge about development of transport and communication branch, characteristics of particular transport sectors from the standpoint of infrastructure and operational needs and coefficients. He masters the same in the sphere of communications and is familiar with products that are provided by operators in the postal market and electronic communications market. The student should be able to set these problems into the particular legal framework, as well.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge of mathematical calculations and operations at secondary school level is assumed.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation
In the course of the term and at the final examination the student must prove sufficient knowledge of important technological features of particular transport sectors, ability to orientate himself in postal and electronic services from the standpoint of their development, way of providing and offer. The student must also consider technology of transport and communication services operation in context of current legislation. Students will be informed about detailed requirements in the first week of the term.
