Course content
Transport sector - users, operators, infrastructure. Development of transport sector - EU, transport policy to year 2010. Specifics of transport sector. Cost in transport - relationship in transport sector. Cost of transport infrastructure - transport and environment. External costs - internalisation of external costs - harmonisation of condition in the market. Transport policy EU - Czech Republic - legislature in transport. Transport projects - project procedure - project approval. Investments evaluation - economic and financial efficiency, time factor. Sources of financial transport infrastructure - SFDI, ISPA, 3P. Legislature EU - ACQUIS COMMUNAUTAIRE. Transeuropean transport nets TNE, corridors in the Czech Republic. Restructuring Czech Railways - legislature.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is enable to students get basic knowledge from the section of control, financing and economics in transport and equip the student with general knowledge about connection between several sections and apply procedures in transport.
After graduation this subject the student is able in conditions the knowledge of economic, financing and management in transport. The student is able identification participants of control process and financing of traffic way on all of his levels, know specifications of transport infrastructure, orient in sphere of cost in transport, differentiate traffic cost and cost of transport infrastructure, has basic knowledge of sphere investments evaluation and project control in traffic. The student orientates in basic legislature notes significant in terms of the Czech Republic and EU.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge from the section of economic and management and general summary.

Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment, Oral performance analysis

The student must in course of semester and by final exam demonstrate understanding this problematic and ability think in relation technical-economic connections. The tutor will notify the concrete requirements to the students within the first week of the term.
