Course content

Introduction to transport economics theory. Sector and function of transport. Costs calculation, internal and external costs. Financing of transport and transport infrastructure, public-private partnership. Construction of prices, calculation models. Prices and prices regulation, prices regulation in transport. Tariffs, tariffs policy, tariffs of personal and freight transport. Tariffs in rail, road, air and water transport. Transport policy. Transportation market. Marketing in transport. Development of railways. European integration processes. European transport policy. New trends in transport development.

Learning outcomes
|
To make students acquainted with the legal regulations, with the distribution of tariffs, with their construction and using with reference to individual types of transport in the area intrastate and international.
The student regains wide knowledge about area of tariff and price fixing department policy in transportation, based on cost calculation and knowledge of problems external costs and their internalization after graduation of subject.

Prerequisites
|
The student must be able to work with written text in the form of laws and other legislative norms. He should know questions of cost calculation and economy of company and economy of the traffic company. The orientation is important presumption in problems of transport policy and planning.
