Course content
Basic concepts. Materiál fatigue. Fatigue curves. Methods of theoretic lifetime estimation. Working stress of construction. Strain gauge measurements. Experimental approaches of obtaining of fatigue material characteristics. Experiments on dynamic test stands. Summary of discussed topics.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to introduce students with current applied procedures of dynamic strength classification in the field of steel construction and to teach them methods of lifetime assessments.
After graduation students are able to use (theoretical and practical) methods of lifetime assessment of vehicles construction.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of "Technical measurement" is demanded.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

During semester students have to demonstrate (at exercises and at final examination) their understanding of topic sense and that they are able to solve exercises on subject matters independently. Teacher tells students concrete requirements at the beginning of semester.
