Course content
Environmental pollution development and its connection with environmental policy. Tools of environmental care in the Czech Republic Environmental legislature. Introduction to the problem. Structure of legal regulation. Legislature of general environmental care. Legislature connected with particular parts of environments. Section environmental legislation. Environmental protection activities. Environmental education. Environmental labelling (environmental labels, claims and declarations). Ecodesign. Programme of cleaner production. Life cycle assessment - methods and case analysis. Environmental management systems - introduction and benefits of its implementation EMS Conception and its implementation to the firm Environmental audit. Continual improvement of EMS and its certification.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
Clarify the environmental pollution development and its connection with environmental policy and legislature in the Czech Republic. Give the information about environmental protection activities and basic conception of environmental management systems.
Studying the course student will learn about the environmental pollution development and its connection with environmental policy (with focus on preventive strategy of environmental protection). He will be able to analyze impacts of firm activities on the environment, their connection with the legislature.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of chemistry and ICT in the range of secondary studies.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Student performance assessment

The assignment confirms that, the student of daily form of schooling attended obligatory education properly, that he joined solving of assigned tasks actively, and that he fulfilled requests which are necessary for this assignment confirmation. Conditions for assignment confirmation are determined by tutor. Exam from this course (form, conclusion, duration) is in conformity with Studying and examining rules of University Pardubice. During final exam student has to prove his understanding of topics mentioned above and to prove ability to solve assigned tasks individually. Particular requests will be past to students in the first part of education by tutor.
