Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to make students acquinted with current technical requirements and regulations (international, national) for road vehicles approval and testing.
After passing the subject students are able to orientate themselves to problems of vehicles testing. They have an overview of technical requirements and technical legislation (national, international) for road vehicles and vehicles approval procedures. They are familiar with main test methods and evaluation procedures, especially in the field of emissions, brakes, EMC, handling and stability.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of vehicles design, technical operation of vehicles, technical measurement and diagnostic methods is supposed.
Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Work-related product analysis, Discussion, Systematic monitoring
During the semester students must take active part in solving problems on seminars. At the final examination students must prove understanding of methods and procedures of vehicles testing. The concrete requirements will be announced at the beginning of the semester.
