Course content
|
Overview of experimental equipment for rail vehicle research. Mechanical properties and contact conditions of railway wheel/roller rigs. Measurement & DAQ equipment. Practical part: Design, performance and evaluation of experiment at a test rig. Specific focus of the course is adapted to the dissertation topic of the student.

The aim of the course is to acquaint the student with laboratory equipment for rail vehicle research, and carry out and evaluate experiment. Specific focus of the course is adapted to the dissertation topic of the student.

The student is assumed to have knowledge in rail vehicle theory. To finish the course, the student is required to submit a written experimental report and pass an oral exam.
