Course content
Diagnostics of technical systems, standards ČSN and ISO. Relationship of diagnostics to inherent and operational reliability. Classification of automated diagnostic systems. Information and control diagnostic systems. Relationship "Reliability control - diagnostic system". Theory and application of objective choice of diagnostic quantities. Method of evaluative parameters and other methods. Design of diagnostic systems. Stages of application of diagnostic methodology in design, operation and restoration of transport means and appliances. Complex similarity-diagnostic-numbers, examples of use. Diagnostic instruments and methods.

Learning outcomes
Diagnostics of technical objects, CSN and ISO standards. Relation between diagnostics and inherent reliability and operational reliability. Classification of automated diagnostic systems. The "reliability control - diagnostic system" relationship. Theory and application of objective choice of diagnostic information (quantities). Design of diagnostic systems. Complex-similarity diagnostic numbers; examples. Diagnostic instruments and methods.
The goal of this course is to introduce basics and principles of diagnostic information systems (DIS) and their use in maintenance management of transport vehicles and machinery to the students.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

The exam of this course (form, content, duration) is stated conformable with Study And Exam Regulations of UPa. The exam regards of a written and an oral test. Successful graduation of the written part of exam is the presumption for the oral part.
