Course content
Maintenance and renewal of vehicles according to a plan, real technical state, and combined approach. Diagnostic information systems DIS. Information systems of reliability and quality management. Wear-out of machine frameworks and failure formation. Maintenance systems. Reliability centered maintenance. RCM method - principals, usage, realization methodology. DIS - RCM. Analysis of reliability phase in design and development of a vehicle, maintenance realization intents. FMEA / FMECA methods. Logistic assurance of vehicles' maintenance. Basic attributes of vehicles' maintenance summary. Practical examples of realization.

Learning outcomes
The goal of this course it to introduce the basics of reliability and maintenance of transport means (road and rail vehicles) to the students.
The graduate of this course will be able to analyze the operational reliability of vehicles and to design a reliable maintenance system of vehicles and their components - including logistic assurance of vehicles' maintenance.
Prerequisites
Graduation of courses like operational reliability and diagnostic systems I, II.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

The exam of this course (form, content, duration) is stated conformable with Study And Exam Regulations of UPa. The exam regards of a written and an oral test. Successful graduation of the written part of exam is the presumption for the oral part.
