The aim of the course is to teach students how to use computer software for the design and evaluation of artificial structures (bridges, buildings, culverts). The course focuses on computer modeling of bridge structures using 1D and 2D elements. As a tool for teaching computing system is used Scia Engineer. Another part of the course focuses on simulating the behavior of concrete and reinforced concrete structures in the environment and Atena Atena GiD-. Evaluation results will be mainly in software Atena Studio.
After completing the course the student is able to design and implement a simple transport assessment design using computational software Scia Engineer. To evaluate the simulation of the behavior of concrete and reinforced concrete structural details. Their knowledge can be applied in any particular design practice.
