Course content
Horizontal and vertical solutions for traffic underground structures. Static solution tunnel lining. Technological processes in the construction of underground structures. Observational methods for designing underground structures - new Austrian tunneling method, modern tunneling methods - using index classification. Equipping steel fiber reinforced shotcrete. Underground structures made from the surface. Construction steel reinforced concrete. Underground construction carried out in pits and pažených slope, special methods of construction of tunnels. Isolation of underground structures. Maintenance, rehabilitation and reconstruction. Safety requirements for tunnels.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach students how to design shallow and deep foundations for different geotechnical categories, to provide students with basic knowledge about safe and economical design of foundation pit and to acquaint them with modern foundation methods and subsoil improvement methods.
