Course content
Horizontal and vertical alignment of rural highways and motorways and their landscape integration. Capacity calculation and it influence on road design. Intersections incl. roundabouts and elevated crossings. Intersection capacity, design elements, placement, safety and environmental issues. Urban roads: categories, transversal arrangement, capacity. Pedestrian and cyclists paths.

Learning outcomes
The subject enlarges the knowledge obtained in the "Highway Design and Construction" subject in the field of urban and rural roads and motorways incl. their intersections
After graduation have students complex knowledge from sphere of crossings.
Prerequisites
It requires knowledge of Road Constructions.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Exam from object (form, content, continuation) is fixed term conformable with educational and examination order.
