Course content
Pavement layer arrangement: surface, wearing course, base layer, subbase layer, formation layer, subgrade. Pavement sorting. Pavement loading. Traffic loading, Pavement design parameters. Soil and subgrade basic tests: static plate test, dynamic plate test, CBR etc. Technologies: unbound, treated, stabilized, asphalt, cement concrete, block-paved. Asphalt production and basic tests. Maintenance and rehabilitation techniques. Pavement design using a catalogue.

Learning outcomes
The subject enlarges the knowledge obtained in the "Highway Design and Construction" subject in the field of pavement design and used technologies
After graduation is student able to project surfacing of road communication by TP 170 and have complex knowledge from spfere of urban road.
Prerequisites
It requires knowledge of Road Constructions and Roads, Motorways and Urban Road Construc.

Written examination

Elaboration and submission of all tutorial assignments At least 70 % ranking of credit tutorial test Active knowledge and experience of lectured themes
