Learning outcomes |
The aim is to teach students basic knowledge of bridges engineering. In the course are students introduced into design principles and evaluation of bridges. The teaching is focused mainly on construction solutions, evaluation procedures, fabrication and erection technology, material of bridge structures, constructions units and bridge equipment.
After graduation are students able to define given bridge structure in light of engineer design, determine simplified calculation approaches. Students are able to work as building inspectors, building inspectors or in other areas connected to bridges. |
Prerequisites |
Knowledge of "Structural Mechanics I, II, III " and "Strength of Materials I" is demanded.
