Course content
Bevelled bridges and curved bridges. Layout, design, static calculation. Arc and frame bridges, advantages-disadvantages of their division. Structural design, static calculation. Swinging and hanging bridges, rope bridges shapes, static calculation. Special bridges. Prestressed steel bridges, temporary bridges, movable bridges. Manufacture and installation of steel bridges. Examples of bridges.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to expand the students knowledge about design and assessment of steel structures.
After completing the course the student is able to understand the problems of design of steel bridges.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Credit bear to, that student take part in requisite amount of obligatory education and that meet the demands, conditional to give a credit . Conditions conferment credit appoint lecturer. Exam from object (form, content, continuation) is fixed term conformable with educational and examination order.
