Course content

Basic terms for rural and urban roads design, intersection design. Road construction design. Management and maintenance of roads. Basic terms of relyability and life of structures, investigation of structures. Principles of reinstating and reconstruction, cracks on building - their causes and repairs. Inspections of communications, winter maintenance, repairs and reconstruction of surfacing, back coat. Maintenance of apparatus of road construction. Regulations regarding the reconstruction and maintenance of railway construction Management organization and management of railway structures Defects and faults of railway superstructure and railway substructure Method and devices for diagnosing the condition of parts of the superstructure and the railway Supervisory activity in railway construction Maintenance of railway construction Reconstruction of railway structures, workflows Mechanization for maintenance and repair of the superstructure and substructure

Learning outcomes
|
The aim is to acquaint students with problems of reconstruction and maintenance traffic structures i.e. land communications, railways.
After graduation have students complex knowledge from sphere of reconstruction and maintenance of traffic structures.

Students have to present complete knowledge from lecture by the examination.
