Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
Learning outcomes
To acquaint students with the methods of foundation engineering in relation to traffic engineering.
Students have a theoretical foundation in the design slope pits, control methods of deep foundations and retaining structures design. Exercises are familiar with the software GEO 5, which they can apply to individual tasks that are associated with starting construction.
Prerequisites
In terms coherence it is necessary that the student has fulfilled subject KDS / PMZEP Soil Mechanics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Generally subject introduces students to the problems of foundations in civil and transportation engineering. Assumption is concerned with the required level (70%) of compulsory education, development and completion of tasks theoretical tests. Semestral work. Examination of the object (form, content, duration) is determined in accordance with the Study and Examination Regulations.
