Learning outcomes
Aim of this subject is to get the students acquainted with basic metal structures (with the focus on steel transport structures). Teaching focuses on design and assessment of structures according to the valid legislation of the EU (especially EN 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993). Introduction of students into material characteristics and methods of their testing is a part of the course.
Upon course completion, student is able to design and assess simple metal structures according to Eurocode, knows basic material characteristics of steel and methods of their testing.
