Course content
Classical tunneling systems, principles and principles of NRTM, Fenner-Pacher curves. DRILL & BLAST method, circumferential notch, ring method, excavation under the ceiling. Modern methods of tunneling TBM, shields. Underground structures carried out from the surface, excavated tunnels, special construction methods. The impact of underground construction on the environment, subsidence of the surface during excavations. Tunnel rehabilitation, technologies, materials and methodological procedures. Geotechnical monitoring of underground structures. Modern numerical methods of modeling underground structures, input values of mathematical modeling. Core softening method, support stress method. Numerical modeling FEM software GEO.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the issues of underground construction, with a focus on the design and implementation technology of underground transport structures.
