Course content
Introduction to the course - basic terminology. Law on the Road Construction Design of Road Construction (design speed, horizontal and vertical alignment, cross section) The Structural Design of the Roads (reconstruction and maintenance of roads, reliability and diagnostic systems of the roads) Design of Urban Roads and Intersections (road safety, traffic engineering, parking areas, bus stops) Final summary

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
  • Contact teaching - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an exam - 40 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 114 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
To familiarize students with the legislative and technical regulations, design, building and reconstruction of urban roads and higways/motorways.
After completing the course, the student is familiar with safety design and building/maintenance of highways, motorways and urban roads
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of transport structures.
