Course content
1. Rock arch theories static solutions of underground structures. 2. Modern methods of underground construction. 3. Construction of Tunnels, Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). 4. Cut and cover tunnel, Tunnel structure 5. NATM, New Austrian Tunnelling Method 6. Rockbolt, Pattern bolting, Mesh, steel mesh 7. Grouted rockbolts, Swelled rockbolts, Sprayed concrete shotcrete, Sprayed concrete class 8. Deformation parameters, Fenner-Pacher curve. 9. Underground urbanism 10. Stress-strain relation, Numerical model, mathematical model 11. Preliminary static evaluation, preliminary structural analysis, Back analysis

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with static static analysis of underground construction and modern design of underground structures.
After completing the course, student gain basic knowledge and skills in the field of tunnel construction, Underground construction.
