Introduction, basic terms History of aviation Runway systems, Airfield codes International and national aviation organisations Aircrafts and their influence on airfield construction Main airfield elements, Declared distances Aircraft classification Pavement classification Obstacle limitation surfaces Aerodrome zones Visual aids Heliports, Helidecks Air Traffic management

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
  • Practical training - 11 hours per semester
  • Excursion - 21 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 57 hours per semester
  • Preparation for a credit (assessment) - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
to familiarize students with the air transport, airports design and construction
After completing the course, student is able to orientate in the problematics of air transport, design and construction of airports.
