Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Work-related activities
  • Contact teaching - 15 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 105 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
to acquaint students with multimodal microscopic traffic simulation, a useful tool for transport planning, design and operational analysis of transport. Students will be acquainted with the issues of applying traffic modeling to road design not only on the highways but also in the urban environment with the specifics of multimodal transport in the street area. PTV VISSIM software is used for teaching purposes.
After completing the course, student gain basic knowledge and skills in the field of microscopic traffic modelling.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of transport structures design and traffic enginering.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Student performance assessment
