Course content
1. Classification of signals (analog, digital, continuous, discrete, deterministic, random etc.) 2. Analog and discrete signals 3. Characteristics of analog and discrete signals 4. Elementary continuous and discrete signals (unit sample, unit step, real and complex exponential, sine, cosine 5. Spectral representation of signals (Fourier series, Fourier transformation) 6. DTFT, DFT 7. Bandpass signals I. - Hilbert transform 8. Bandpass signals II. 9. LTI - Analog systems I. 10. LTI - Analog systems II. 11. LTI - Discrete systems I. 12. LTI - Discrete systems II. 13. Random signals - characteristics?

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
Learning outcomes
Introduction to signal processing , Fourier series, Fourier transform, DTFT, DFT, FFT, linear time-invariant systems, effects of finite word lengths, random signals and their spectral analysis, examples of digital signal processing systems (audio, image, radar).
Students will have these base skills: Basic principle of digital signal processing Fourier series, Fourier transform DTFT, DFT Analog and discrete systems (LTI)
Prerequisites
Basic skills: mathematics (integral, derivation, function, series, etc.)

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Students need active interest in lessons, homeworks, etc.
