Course content
1. Introduction to LabView - what is itLabVIEW, manner of programing, hardware platforms (cDAQ, cRIO, PXI). 2. Basic data types, loops, branching. 3. The state machine, type definitions, user interface events. 4. Program tuning, error handling, work with charts. 5. Events, asynchronous data processing, user interface. 6. Working with files, saving of application settings to files. 7. Using of program Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) for harware access. 8. Data measuremet and processing, harware access by DAQmx. 9. Data measurement and processing by VISA and other communication tools. 10. HW platforms for measuremet and control; measuring cards, cDAQ, cRIO, PXI. 11. The application architecture, development templates access to common sources, parallel loop synchronization. 12. The application architecture, development templates access to common sources, parallel loop synchronization. 13. Documentation and code maintenance, creating of installer and application distribution.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to learn students with the basics of programming in LabView. Using LabView for measurement and data processing and process control. Overview of hardware platforms and devices for measurement and control that are supported in LabVIEW.

Student has to prove his/her knowledge during semester (active participation at exercises, homework) and in final exam. Student works on semestr project. Teacher provides particular demands at the beginning of course.
