Course content
Interlocking : Definitions. The importance of a sort . Basic block diagram of the SFE. Analysis of interlocking activities : Function group and individual . Information superstructure . Analysis of function adjustment exchanges, functional and safety requirements , implementation. Analysis functions permission to ride. Necessary conditions , transfer to the vehicle. The static speed profile . Function analysis concludes itineraries : Functional and safety requirements , implementation. Operational and technical characteristics of selected types of relay interlocking systems . Architecture and design of electronic interlocking safety ESA11 and K2000 . Characteristics of distinguished foreign electronic interlocking . Trackside signaling equipment : Definition, importance , characteristics , classification. Analysis of the functions of automatic TZZ , driving successive trains exclusion of antisense rides. Principles of Operation TZZ selected for the CD . Modern trends in TZZ . Merging with electronic interlocking , Radioblok . Innovation .

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the principles of functional and technical safety of railway signaling systems and electronic relay. Attention is paid to railway interlocking systems in stations and safety equipment on the tracks.
After graduating from a student to a systems approach to the proposal as well as the realization of functions and technical solutions to the station and trackside signaling equipment. My overview of the approaches of other railway administrations and manufacturers on this issue.
Prerequisites
The knowledge of the course Fundamentals of security equipment in full, and knowledge of electrical engineering and electronics, and control rail traffic.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Student must during the semester and the final exam solved problems demonstrate the ability to understand, critically evaluate and solve. Required to draw up short-term paper on an assigned topic. Specific requirements shall communicate to students the teacher at the beginning of the semester.
