Course content
ATC system definitions, characteristics, importance, classification. Analysis of the requirements for the transfer of information between the track and the car. Principles of train control LS90, ARS, Matra. Principles of train control TVM430, the Indus, Ebicab. ETCS - principles, application-level security concept, beacon EuroRadio. ETCS - Applications in the Czech Republic, architecture, security principles. Automation trains, driving optimization, target braking, automatic train operation. Security service level crossing, definition, importance, sorting AD. The basic principle of AD, the equalization approach time, links to other safety equipment. Principles of selected AD: Relay AZD AD 71, AD-E electronic, foreign AD. Remote control security systems, operational and safety requirements, implementation. Establishing DOZ on information and management systems, railroad systems. Supply security equipment. Innovation.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the principles of functional and technical safety of railway signaling systems and train crossing and the issue of supply security equipment.
After graduating from a student to a systematic approach to design as well as the realization of functions and technical solutions crossing safety devices and European train control system ETCS.
Prerequisites
The knowledge Fundamentals of security equipment and security systems, 1 full, and knowledge of electrical engineering and electronics and rail traffic management.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Student must during the semester and the final exam solved problems demonstrate the ability to understand and critically evaluate and solve. Requires the development of short term paper on an assigned topic. Specific requirements shall tutor students at the beginning of the semester.
