Course content
Introduction to the problems of raster and vector graphics and their representation. Meaning and usage. Fundamental terms. Basic principles of work with graphic editors. Raster graphics editor Zoner Photo Studio. Raster graphics editor Zoner Photo Studio. Raster graphics editor Adobe Photoshop. Raster graphics editor Adobe Photoshop. Vector graphics editor Zoner Callisto. Vector graphics editor Zoner Callisto. Vector graphics editor Corel Draw. Vector graphics editor Corel Draw. Animations. Flash. Animations. Flash. 3D graphics editors. Constructive systems.

Learning outcomes
Students will learn about the ways of work with modern graphic editors, activities and processes used for processing of various pieces of graphic information with the inclusion of possibilities of their primary acquisition, adjustments and settings, archiving, final prepress preparation, printing methods.
After completing the course the student is able to work with recent graphic editors. The student is able to realize the entire process of processing image data from the acquisition to the presentation. Student is able to work with both raster and vector images, can create a vector flash animation.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of PC operating system MS Windows required.

Home assignment evaluation

By awarding the course credit it is confirmed that the student has fulfilled the required attendance and other qualifying requirements. Conditions for credits are: active work at seminars and an evaluated project.
