Course content
1. Introduction and history. 2. Today's aircrafts, operation condition and technical possibilities. 3. Stracture of aircraft, principles and technical solutions of flight. 4. Devices for directing of aircraft on the route. Air traffic routes and services in airspace. 5. Radionavigation. 6. Devices for measurement of altitude and speed. 7. Radiolocation and safety devices in air traffic. 8. Tasks of air traffic management. Problems of air traffic flow management. 9. Structure and tasks of air traffic control. Requirements on technic equipment for air traffic control. 10. Ecology requirements and processes of cause investigation of accidents. 11. Law and organisations in air traffic. Conditions for air traffic. 12. Airports and their technical and operational parameters. Technic equipment on airport. 13. Passengers check-in processes.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic principles of air transport, including the technical equipment used and operational services provided.
After completing the course, the student is able to orientate in the issues of air transport. They will gain basic knowledge about the design of aircraft, the directing of aircraft on the route, the organization of airspace and the services provided in it, and the passenger chech-in process.
