Course content
1. Division of aircraft, definition, loads acting on aircraft 2. Aircraft construction 3. Construction of aircraft fuselages 4. Construction of airplane wings and tail surfaces 5. Aircraft control systems, means of stability and controllability 6. Devices for increasing buoyancy and drag 7. Landing gear 8. Pressurized cabins, air conditioning and oxygen system 9. Hydraulic and pneumatic system 10. Electrical system, lights, cabin and information systems, avionics 11. Fuel and oil system 12. Protection against frost and rain, fire protection system 13. Equipment and facilities, water distribution and waste system

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the conceptual and design solutions of aircraft. The course focuses on definitions and general knowledge with a focus on aircraft systems and systems, systems of primary and secondary construction, the development of requirements by operators, the concept of design solutions and categorization of aircraft. The explanation is also devoted to the issue of aircraft, aircraft loading and strength solutions of aircraft airframe systems.
After completing the course, the student will understand the design of aircraft and their systems within the scope of Module 11A according to Part 66 of EU Regulation No. 1321/2014.
Prerequisites
A good knowledge of mathematics, physics and English from high school is assumed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Didactic test

The condition for participation in the exam is for full-time students to obtain a credit. The credit confirms that the student has participated in the classes to the required extent and that he has met the requirements for the awarding of the credit. The conditions for granting credit are determined by the teacher in the first week of the semester's lecture period. The subject exam for the full-time form of study is determined in accordance with the Study and Examination Regulations of the UPa.
