Course content
1. Chicago Convention. 2. Regulations and Directives of the European Community. 3. Eligibility of flight personnel. Rules of flying. Air traffic services. 4. Assoc. 8168 - Aircraft operation - flight procedures, Doc. 4444 - Arrangement of air traffic, Doc. 7030 - European (EUR) regional supplementary procedures. 5. Annex 12 - Search and rescue in civil aviation, Annex 13 - Professional investigation of the causes of air accidents and incidents. 6. Annex 15 - Aviation information service. 7. Annex 17 - Protection of civil aviation against illegal acts. 8. Annex 18 - Safe air transport of dangerous goods. 9. Annex 4 - Aerial maps. 10. Part 66 - Qualification of aircraft maintenance technicians. 11. Part 145 - Maintenance organizations. 12. Part M - CAMO organization. 13. Part 21 - Certification of aircraft technology.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Skills training
  • Home preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
  • Contact teaching - 52 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an exam - 35 hours per semester
  • Preparation for a credit (assessment) - 13 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with aviation legislation and the competence of the Czech Aviation Authority, ICAO, EASA and national aviation authorities.
After completing the course, the student orients himself in the issue of aviation regulations.
Prerequisites
Good knowledge of English from high school and understanding of more complex texts is assumed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Didactic test

The condition for participation in the exam is for full-time students to obtain a credit. The credit confirms that the student has participated in the classes to the required extent and that he has met the requirements for the awarding of the credit. The conditions for granting credit are determined by the teacher in the first week of the semester's lecture period. The subject exam for the full-time form of study is determined in accordance with the Study and Examination Regulations of the UPa.
