1. Corrosion - principles of corrosion; types of corrosion. Corrosion processes and their types (chemical, physical, electrochemical). 2. Types of corrosion attacks. Particular corrosion environments. Corrosion reactions a corrosion cells. Corrosions by stray current; electrochemistry protections. 3. Electrochemistry cells (primary and secondary batteries). 4. Testing methods for metals corrosion (natural and laboratory corrosion tests) 5. Corrosion a corrosion resistance of non ferrous metals. (Al, Ti, Cu, Zn). 6. Corrosion of glass and plastics. Surface pretreatment of metals. 7. Surface treatment - metallic surface coatings (metal plating). 8. Surface treatment - electroplating. 9. Surface treatment - non metallic surface coatings, enamelling. 10. Surface treatment - organic coatings (paintings). 11. Paintings testing. Non conventional surface treatment - diffusion coatings, PVD, CVD, anodizing, plastics coatings. 12. Corrosion resistant steels.
