Numerical methods for solution of problems in technical mechanics. Difference equations and method of grids, Method of expansion into series. Energy principles and methods for elastodynamic analysis of continuum (principle of virtual work, Lagrange principle, Ritz method). Principles of the Finite Element Method. Solution of large systems of equations. Solution of nonlinear problems. Principles of the Boundary Element Method. Integral equations and their use in mechanics. Method of transfer matrices and its use in the dynamics of systems.
