Course content
SDS of the Czech Republic. Economy and transport - trends. External costs and sustainable development. Emissions values and energy consumptions. Czech Transport Policy and sustainable development. White Book - European Transport Policy for the Year 2010: Time to Decide. Measures and instruments of sustainable development. State regulation policy. City regulation policy. New trends in transport systems development. Carrier's strategy in environment protection sphere. Spare time, subject summary.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to teach students, that the transport has negative impacts and that there are some possibilities to decrease them, in relation to Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS) document.
After passing the subject, the student is able to orientate in problem of sustainable development and mobility in all transport modes.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Conditions for acquiring the exam are stipulated by the teacher during the first lesson in the teaching period. The examination in the subject (its form, content and duration) is determined in compliance with the Study and Examination Regulations of the University of Pardubice.
