Course content
Introduction to the problems, definitions and explanations of basic terms. Contingencies, characteristics, division and their influence on transportation. Crisis operation of state and legislative. Crisis planning. Fallback planning. Integrated safety system, Czech army. Evacuation of population, animals and property. Protection against floods and their effect on water transport. Crisis operation in department of Ministry of transport. Task of transport in military crisis states. Task of transport in military non-crisis states. Material and technical means for solving contingencies in transport. Use of another kinds of transport during crisis situations. Mathematical means for support of crisis state solutions, software tools and information systems, technology for crisis operation. Time allowance, conclusion.

Learning outcomes
To acquaint students with foundations of crisis operation in Czech Republic and in the field of transport.
After passing, student is able to manage to consider the character of contingencies and possibilities of using the crisis states. Student is known about basic tasks of particular kind of transport during crisis situation and ensuring their function, form of tasking, regulation, restoration, reduction, etc.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

For students of the full-time study participation in an examination is conditioned by obtaining a course credit. The obtained course credit confirms that the full-time student attended the lessons in the required amount, that he/she met the requirements for acquiring the course credit and may proceed to take the examination. Conditions for acquiring the course credit are stipulated by the teacher during the first week of the semester lecture period. The examination in the subject (its form, content and duration) is determined in compliance with the Study and Examination Regulations of the University of Pardubice."
