Course content
Basic characteristic of technology of transport. Transport process, it's classification and specialities. Railway transport importance and task, method characteristic of operational process. Passenger railway transport, train classification and numeration. Freight railway transport, train classification and numeration. Railway operation preparation and basic tools for controlling. Operational station work organization, basic used technological processes. Operational planning, and controlling of railway transport operational work. Road transport importance, it's significant features and the most important legislative norms. Road vehicles parameters. Selection of appropriate types and its equipment. Transport work organization in road transport (shuttle, radial, cyclic and mixed trips). Planning and operational controlling of freight and passenger road transport. Air transport meaning and task, basic acquaintance with its technology. Water transport meaning and task, basic acquaintance with its technology. Combined transport task, evaluation of its particular technologies. Time allowance, summary.

Learning outcomes
To acquaint students with total view about particular kinds of transport.
After passing, student is able to orient in and describe technological processes of particular kinds of transport.
