Course content
Introduction, Surface roads, their classification, ownership, maintenance, road authorities. Of road infrastructure and its limitations. Vehicle weighting. Technological indicators of road cargo and passenger transport. Technology of loading operations in road transport. Technical tools for technology of loading operations in road transport. Cargo road transport technology. Technology division of road cargo and passenger vehicles. Approval of technical competence of the road vehicles. Roadworthiness and emission testing. Vehicle registration. Contracts of the Civil Code to road transport. Road transport operators. Road transport area service. Time allowance, summary.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the technology of road cargo transport technology road passenger transport services within and evaluation of these technologies. Another objective is to familiarize students with the operation of road transport.
After passing, student is able to characterise regularities of technology and operating of road transport and employ gained knowledge for finding solutions of practical tasks from this area.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

For students of the full-time study participation in an examination is conditioned by obtaining a course credit.The obtained course credit confirms that the full-time student attended the lessons in the required amount, that he/she met the requirements for acquiring the course credit and may proceed to take the examination. Conditions for acquiring the course credit are stipulated by the teacher during the first week of the semester lecture period. The examination in the subject (its form, content and duration) is determined in compliance with the Study and Examination Regulations of the University of Pardubice.
