The course Transport Modelling deals with practical utilization of transport modelling software Omnitrans. This software is mostly used by transport planners to build transport models, make congestions indicators, optimize public transport, estimate transport projects impact etc. Students go through software interface, network building and basic demand transport modelling methods, such as Trip Generation, Trip Distribution, Traffic Assignment and Modal Split. After that, students build their own simplified model of Pardubice; learn how to assess the results and how to make prognosis of future development. The model includes individual and public transport.
Po splnění předmětu má student základní znalosti o dopravním modelování.
