In this course, students will learn basic chemical, spectral and separation methods used in the analysis of organic compounds, with particular emphasis on the possibility of a combination of approaches and methods.
Graduate of the course has knowledge of general classification procedures of organic compounds on the basis of solubility and chemical reactions, with the possibilities of characterization of compounds using physical constants, procedures for adjustments, purification and separation of samples, qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis, constitutional analysis and preparation of derivatives for the characterization purpose.
