Course content
- Introduction to quality management systems, understanding the therm "quality". EFQM model Excellence. Stages of product formation and spiral of quality. Vertical and horizontal lines of the quality system. Quality characteristics of a product and service. - Organizational structure of the company implementing quality management, models. Principles of quality management system, processes. Full description of the given process. - Variability of processes, quality tools. Draving up the layout and Ishikawa diagram - Requirements for quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015. Context of the organisation, leadership and planning. Mapping of the context of the organisation and interested parties. - Requirements for quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015. Support, operation, performance and evaluation, improvement - ISO 19011:2018 - types of audits; audit programme. Analysis of the results of the audit. - Scope standards on quality. Quality management in the automotive industry. Quality in chemical laboratory: Good laboratory practice; CSN EN ISO/IEC 17025 - Information security system according to CSN ISO/IEC 27001:2006. IT - Services management according to CSN ISO/EC 20000-1, 20000-2. System of food safety management according to CSN EN ISO 22000 - Safety management system ISO 45001:2018. Evaluation of risks. - Environmental management system ISO 14001: 2015. SWOT analysis - Life cycle assessment according to ISO 14040:2006. Environmental aspects and their impacts on environment. - Accreditation of laboratories. The Metrology Act No. 505/1990. Consumer Protection Act No. 36/2008 Coll. - Act on Technical Requirements for Products No. 22/1997

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to inform the students about quality management in industrial, chiefly, chemical companies. Students are also informed about further control systems and activities which are related with quality control of products and service
After passing the subject, the students have general view about control systems, which are implemented in chemical companies with aim of continual improve the quality of products, environment protection and occupational health and safety. Students are acquitted with basic legislative rules and technical standards, which adjust these activities. Students are able to process the context of an organisation, set its objectives or solve the issue of risks.
