Course content
Treatment of raw materials and products: mixing of powder materials, agglomeration of particulate solids, granulation, storage of particulate solids, bins, storage silo, mixing and agitation. Heat operation: refrigeration and exchangers for refrigeration, possibilities of refrigeration in chemical industry. Diffusion operations: distillation and equipment for distillation, adsorption and equipment for adsorption, extraction and equipment for extraction, crystallization and equipment for crystallization, membrane processes and equipment for membrane separations. Chemical reactors. Construction materials.

Learning outcomes
Students will extend the knowledge of other procedures processing of raw materials and products of industrial production. The student will obtain information about chemical processes that are used in inorganic production.
The student will acquire additional knowledge on methods of processing of raw materials and processes that are applied in the inorganic productions.

Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation

The oral exam is supplemented by the processing of given examples. The basic form of the exam is a discussion on a selected topic. The level of acquired knowledge, concepts and application skills is examined.
