Course content
|
The student should acquaint with the topic of thesis. Student should follow the instructions: 1) Search available scientific literature focusing mainly on the original scientific publications. 2) Prepare introduction of thesis - text, containing published results significant for the topic of thesis. 3) Student is working in laboratory according to the instructions of supervisor or consultant. 4) At the end of course student will finish experimental and discussion part of the thesis.

Learning outcomes
|
Students should apply their theoretical knowledge in planning and running their own experiments, critically evaluated obtained results and discuss it with the supervisor in order to propose next steps in research and development of the thesis.
Management of the laboratory book, processing and critical evaluation of experimental data, writing of scientific text.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Home assignment evaluation, Creative work analysis
The student is evaluated by supervisor in written review, which assess the ability of scientific work in laboratory, discussion about the results and preparation of scientific text. The output is a recommendation to the thesis defense.
