Adequate attention is paid to antibacterial agents and mechanisms of their action including the methods for determination of susceptibility.
Students become acquainted various etiological agents - their characteristics, cultivation and identification including susceptibility to antibiotics. Completion of the course is necessary for the further studies of clinical microbiology.
Prerequisites
KBBV/C508K - General microbiology KBBV/C614K - Fundamentals of medical genetics

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

Final exam consists of a written test and oral examination. Before oral exam the students complete the written test with 10 questions. It is necessary to write the test at 60 %. It means that they have to achieve 12 points out of 20. Then the knowledge is verified during the oral examination.
