Course content
Organizational structure, spheres of activity and tasks of national statistical services, classifications. Nomenclatures. Registers. Processing and analysis of data from a full survey. Exploratory one dimensional data analysis. One dimensional structured file. Two dimensional file. Correlation table. Analysis of variance. Non linear regression and correlation. Multiple linear regression and correlation. Statistical dependence of word characteristics. Regression of alternative indicia Statistical comparison and analysis of differences. Indexes Individual simple and composite indexes. Summary indexes. Economically significant indexes Time- series. Methods of their levelling. Time-series forecasting. Time series correlation and autocorrelation. Special themes for management and economics (discriminant analysis, cluster analysis)

Learning outcomes
The aim is to develop further theoretical and mathematical principles obtained in subject Applied Statistics and to extend practical skills of students in the field of economical data processing using Excel forcefully on interpretation of particular indicators.
Student is able after fulfillment this subject to get, handle and analyze relevant data from full- scope as well as survey sampling in economic field and correctly interpret and present obtained results with effective utilization of Excel's tools.
Prerequisites
Knowledge in mathematics and business economics and management on bachelor level is needed for study of the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Creative work analysis

Exam has two parts - written with computer and oral one. Level of acquired knowledge, approaches, as well as skill in practice application is examined. The results from current test and seminar work are considered as a part of final classification."
