Course content
Production System in Enterprise. Product Design, Process Selection, Facility Layout. Production functions, costing and budgeting. Raw and Materials in Production Systems. Material Productivity. Energy, Machinery and Equipment in Production Systems. Energy and Machine Productivity. Human Resources in Production Systems. Labour productivity. Production planning and scheduling. Equipment Maintenance. Job design (Division of labor, cooperation, work place, work schedules, work environment). Coordination of productions. Production managers and engineers. Elimination of Wastes. Sell of products. Process Control. Improving.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Skills training
  • Independent critical reading - 13 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
Goal of lessons is to create a complex notion of what is chemical production management, how to use various types of calculations in this area and what is a content of strategic and tactical-operative management of production.
After finishing this subject the learner is able to orientate in economy and management knowledge that are needed for management of chemical productions. He/she is qualified to make decisions about production strategy and tactic, to manage implementation of productions plans as well as to provide control of production systems.
Prerequisites
Knowledge in mathematics and business economics and management on bachelor level is needed for study of the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Oral exam is required. Level of acquired knowledge, approaches, as well as skill in practice application are examined. During term the knowledge is verified by two examination papers, their results are considered as a part of final classification.
