Course content
|
Introduction to the subject, national statistical services, statistical reporting, classifications, nomenclatures, registers. Data processing and data analysis from a full and sample survey. Exploratory one dimensional data analysis. One dimensional structured file. Processing and analysis of two dimensional file, nonlinear regression and correlation of numerical variables. Multiple linear regression and correlation. Statistical dependence of categorical variables, contingency table, tightness characteristics. Regression and correlation of alternative variables, association table. Time series, their classification, properties, mechanical smoothing time series. Analytical smoothing non-periodic and periodic time series. Time-series forecasting, trend and adaptive forecasting methods, evaluation of forecast quality. Statistical comparison and analysis of differences, principles of index decomposition and absolute differences decomposition. Individual simple and composite indexes. Summary indexes, economically significant indexes.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this subject is to develop the theoretical foundations acquired in the subject Statistics I with an emphasis on economic data and to extend the practical skills of students in the field of economic data processing in Excel.
Student is able after fulfillment this subject to get, handle and analyze relevant data from full- scope as well as survey sampling in economic field and correctly interpret and present obtained results with effective utilization of Excel's tools.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge in mathematics and business economics and management on bachelor level is needed for study of the subject.
