Course content
History of Logistics and Current Trends. Logistics goals in Enterprise. Customer service. Optimization of logistic performance. System approach to enterprise logistics. Logistics Information System. Distribution Logistics. Production logistics. Purchasing Logistics. Supportive logistics activities - transport, handling, storage, packaging. Outsourcing of logistics services. Principles of Supply chain. Supply chain integration. Modern methods of supply chain management. Optimization of logistics processes in the supply chain (analytical, simulation and heuristic approaches).

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to give to students a complex knowledge in logistics and supply chain management using new logistics technologies and optimization methods.
The graduates are able to apply modern approaches in supply chain management with emphasis on optimization of individual processes and complexity of solutions.

Oral exam is required. Level of acquired knowledge, approaches, as well as skill in practice application are examined. During term the knowledge is verified by examination paper, its results are considered as a part of final classification.
