Course content
1. týden: Employee contribution to business sustainability. 2. týden: Social approach of the company to employees. 3. týden: Selection procedure, selection interview. 4. týden: Team work. Modern trends in working group formation and leadership. 5. týden: Job stimulation. Management of problem employees. 6. týden: Preparation of speech and techniques of self-presentation. 7. týden: Communication techniques - feedback, confrontation, how to say no, persuasion. 8. týden: Decision Making and Problem Solving - Creative and Analytical Thinking. 9. týden: Timemanagement and procrastination. 10. týden: Stress management. 11. týden: Assertive behavior. 12. týden: Managing manipulative techniques. 13. týden: Conflict resolution and negotiation techniques.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Skills training
  • Preparation for an exam - 15 hours per semester
  • Preparation of a presentation (report) - 19 hours per semester
  • Contact teaching - 26 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The goal of this subject is to give to the students the basic information concerning a personality psychology, to let them know theoretically the chosen managing skills and to let them try some of them in practise.
The students know the basic managing skills and can use them during further studies, presentation of their personalities or their work and they can achieve a better quality of their lives. The knowledge learned during this subject can significantly help to the students to become a part of working teams or to execute the manager position.
Prerequisites
The students needn´t pass any subject before.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

This subject examination has an oral form. During the term every student will deal with and later present an arbitrary theme. The level of this presentation will have an influence during the above examination.
