Course content
Corporate social responsibility concept. Stakeholders in the context of CSR concept. Economic responsibility of chemical enterprises. Partnership of chemical enterprises in the context of CSR. Social responsibility of chemical enterprises. Environmental responsibility of chemical enterprises. Ethical responsibility of chemical enterprises. Philanthropic responsibility of chemical enterprises. Benefits and risks of CSR concept application. Institutional support of CSR concept. CSR concept application by selected chemical enterprises operating in the Czech Republic. CSR reporting and communication of chemical enterprises. CSR web based communication of chemical enterprises operating in the Czech Republic.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the issue of social responsibility of chemical enterprises. The CSR concept and the areas of CSR are presented. The benefits and risks of CSR concept application and its institutional support are discussed. The attention is also focused on CSR reporting and CSR communication of chemical enterprises operating in the Czech Republic.
After having successfully passed the subject, students are able to better get their bearings in the issue of corporate social responsibility. They are able to interpret basic issues and to develop newly acquired information. The subject expands students' general knowledge and thus increases their employability. Successfully passing this subject is a precondition for study of the subject "Sustainable production and consumption in the chemical industry".
Prerequisites
Knowledge in business studies and management on bachelor level is needed for study of the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment, Self project defence, Presentation

Oral exam required. Levels of acquired knowledge, approaches, as well as skills in practice application are examined. Evaluation includes active work on exercises, incl. presentation of the set seminar theses.
